My name is Julia Alfano and I have been a practising educational, child and adolescent psychologist for over 20 years. I deliver educational, child and adolescent psychological assesments and interventions in Guildford, Surrey and neighbouring LA"s.
As a child and adolescent psychologist I work with both individuals and families on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period,
I am experienced in helping children, teens and young adults who have experienced difficulties/differences with:
- Adult and peer relationships including needs related to social communication differences
- Anxiety at school and home
- Bereavement and loss
- Mood regulation
- Risk of exploitation
- Attachment and developmental trauma ( extensive experiences with care experienced children)

I practise as an educational child and adolescent psychologist in Guildford, Surrey and Berkshire, however, I am happy to travel to your home as I find this is less threatening for some children and teens at the beginning. However, I will seek to move towards the provision of sessions in a co.tsinec? neutral therapeutic space or in school or college as preferred. In addition, I can provide some sessions individually or some sessions with parents/carers depending on what is agreed. I will also work with parents/carers individually if required/requested.
